The ball valve on ball valve blew my mind. Frick so simple but never thought of it.

The belt one isn't really a plumbing hack, that's just a life hack. Had to do that with some wires as an electrician until I was able to get a new belt.
I have to admit, when I watched the channel locks next to the kitchen sink aerator, I got triggered, and started saying NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO! I was relived when you turned it around and used the handles.
Got2Learn… Great ideas, thank you. Please stop saying solder, phonetically. This is one of those crazy English words that is not pronounced the way it's spelled. It's pronounced 'soder,' without the 'l,' not as you say it: "sold-er."
No matter how small the job is, always figure out where the main shut off is first, just in case!!!
Use one of those expanding plugs. You can slip on a valve over the plug, solder it, and then remove the plug. Best case scenario and superior to a compression valve.
