I'm thinking of going to my local trade school and getting my electrical technician certification and then go to apprenticeship.
Useless union garbage. Take another break.
Thanks, great video
You did all that in a day? Do you get to decide where the outlets go? Sometimes the outlets are in places that make no sense.
Toxic work.
Residential is the best but not much work which kinda sucks.
Extoling the virtue of being a union electrician, yet he shows an almost finshed residential unit and he doesn't know what a structured cabling box is….he opens it up and says he did this, then he adds that he only did the plug…..Actually, it was a receptacle he added…….Down here….working in a merit shop a 2nd year apprentice can show more detail on how to do something.. Does this show a union shop as idiots, or just the guy posting this? Which is it?
Thank you for your videos. Really informative
PG&E gives you 14,000 or 26,000 cables?
What time does your job start and end (hours)
Union electricians are notoriously lazy where i come from
Love it I’m just geting my A+ for computers and so far I love this this career looks amazing to but I can’t hardly do basic math tho
Hey man I have an associates degree in Electrical Engineering, plan to complete my bachelors in the future..since I have my associates would it take me less time to become a journeyman?
What's the pay like???
are you always working in hot areas without air conditioning?
You have no coworkers, no foreman, no training? Just goto an empty house and start pulling wires and making terminations then go home?
if you're using a double pole single throw switch for the bathroom fan and light, why not just tie the two together at the fan/light fixture and use a single pole switch?
local 363 brother here in hudson valley NY
Well, that's 8 minutes of my life wasted
Hey I'm 22 and looking to get into the trade possibly through Union this upcoming year, im from California and im not a huge pot head but i am a fan of the herb every now and then, i plan on stopping to smoke cause im expecting drug tests but im wondering how often can I expect them or will I be in trouble if i happen to smoke on random occasions and are they blood/urine test?
How much do you get paid?
Do they drug test you for shrooms?
Local 424 Edmonton reporting in. What I actually do is check the jobline, realize I dont have 3 years overhead crane experience, Jman welding ticket, some ridiculous site specific certification that is only offered by the contractor, and no camp or living facility for me. Then repeat this process for months at a time.
Always at the hall, waitin' for a call
We talk way more shit where i work lu 728
3:50 view reminds me of Grand Theft Auto 3 video game
I’m going to college to become and Electrician. Any tips? Also how much do I get payed.
What up bro. How can I get started? SFJATC? Their last day for applications for the inside wireman program was last July 7, 2018. Do you recommend anything I should do? BTW I have no experience in the trade but really eager to learn the trade. Thank you in advance
That is not a motion sensor. That is an occupancy sensor.
Do you recommend trade schools that offer an electrician program?
I might be asking a dumb question. As an apprentice can you afford to live in a place like that? I know SF rent runs 3000$(lowest price) so I’m curious.
6AM LOL
We wake up at 3am and are on job site before 4:30. How cute
Hi, i am Raza from India. But i am working in OMAN as a electrician. I am a diploma engineer. If any opportunity in your country please suggest me..i want to come urope country.
Try to install stainless steel conduit in shitty industrial conditions. Cut the pipe , thread and bend with either Chicago bender or greenlee hydraulic sidewinder. Install the damn thing. On top of that the foreman is an asshole. Yeah it's work ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
Great video…thank you for all the info!!
I'm going to la trade tech to learn the electrician trade. Would it be better to just apply to the local union and start off there instead
looks like those new buildings out in pac heights. i drove for uber last year and always used to sit in traffic around there because of all the construction. its pretty nice over there, though. nice video, man. I take my apprenticeship exam tomorrow. wish me luck.
