After watching this video and several episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" I notice Americans and Canadians pronounce the verb as "sor der" when the correct pronunciation is "sol der" – that's it "sol der" not "sor der". If there are inherent linguistic nuances I am unaware of and my comment causes offence I apologise in advance. You can imagine the confusion should 'l' be pronounced as 'r' in the sex industry : – "ferr atio" and "cunni ringus" for example – it could make bookings for services very confusing!
Were can i get this music
Helpful information, thank you for sharing !!
wait, is no one gonna mention pumping nitrogen into the tubing to prevent oxidation? or is that not a thing in plumbing?
This is very funny. Here, in Serbia, me and my uncle was done 30 meters of copper pipe refrigeration instalation without this "steps". Because if we do this steps, we must spend a month to done installing. Here we connect with map gas and oxygen, and with melting silver sticks. Here we must do job fast. And less people do too much job. And of course for a less money than on the West. For example, a large refrigeration unit (more than 3kW), the price of work is about 350 Euros (400 dollars).
3:44 Unfortunately that's false. I work as a plumber and ive heard this from a lot of people, but thermodynamics doesn't work that way. The reason heat rises is because of the buoyancy that higher temperature gas has. The main way that the heat is being transferred to the other side of the pipe is by conduction. Copper is actually the best element at conducting heat out of all metals so the convection heating would be a tiny fraction of the total heat transfer.
Thank you for all this videos their very helpful
Very useful.
Nicely done. HONK HONK
Awesome – the fittings for a solder connection are a lot less expensive than the skrew end brass fittings that press a ring to the copper pipe for a seal.
Awesome thanks it helps
Great video! After watching, I just capped two water lines and they are dry and perfect!
Nice Job
Excellent does not waste time
Great video!! I've been reading the comments and am wondering, what is reaming a pipe? I'm a newbie and want to do this correctly.
VERY INFORMATIVE AND SIMPLE GOOD WORK !
Heat does not rise in a solids. It rises in gas and liquids. The reason you heat from the bottom is mainly because it's easier to hold the torch from that angle while soldering from the top.
For sanding, I always use steel wool xxx, works well.
You dont use emery cloth or sandpaper…the bits go everywhere. Steel wool or even better abrasive pads.
And you never put the solder into the flame area.
can I use flux cored solder?
I’m so glad I found this video it explains so much better on how to do water copper pipes
Why would anyone be installing copper pipe in this day and age?
Everything is plastic pipe that wont break of structurally fail at the seams, requires 99% less labour. Is flexible, easier to insulate.
I will not miss having to solder pipes like this ever again. Its a nightmare.
Apply the solder opposite of the heat source for the most effective way for the solder to wick into the joint.
I like the video, yes sir! It was clear, to the point, entertaining, the narrator narrated it very energetic. The information was served without any unnecessary disturbances; I recommend it to all interested solder to be plumbers, thenk you, I like Canada.
